Uszka - Little Ears in Polish, are handmade small dumplings usually filled with mushroom, sauerkraut & mushroom or minced meat. They are usually served with borscht or can be eaten alone. They are a part of the traditional Christmas Eve dinner in Eastern Europe, and are either floated in the soup, or eaten as a side dish.

 

Try them with your favorite pasta sauce!

Boiling: Thaw frozen pierogies in boiling water until they rise to the top approx. 4-5 min. Drain and Serve. 

Microwave:Place pierogies in microwaveable bowl and heat on high for approx. 45 sec-1 min. If frozen heat for 2 to 3 min. Leave uncovered for 30 seconds before serving.
