Kamis Nutmeg Powder (Galka Muszkatołowa Mielona)
Nutmeg is the hard core of an evergreen tree native to the Moluccas, or the Spice Islands. As in many cultures around the world, it is also a popular ingredient in Polish cuisine. Nutmeg is mainly used to season cakes. However, when added to meat (beef, veal, lamb, poultry) or dairy products, it perfectly changes the taste of the dish. It can also be used to flavor stews, soups (vegetable, bean), tripe, fish, minced cutlets, bigos and most cheese dishes. It’s also a great addition to a mulled wine or hot milk. This bag contains nutmeg in ground form. Add it at the end of cooking as high temperature destroys the aroma.
