Country Style Smoked Sausage - Wiejska
This is the most traditional smoked Polish sausage, called county "wiejska" or old-country "starowiejska".
This the most loved sausage, made based on a basic traditional Polish recipe, known and used by many Polish grandparents.
The moderate amount of fat, only the choicest cuts of tender pork, fresh garlic and spices makes this sausage very universal and unique. Gently smoked just to achieve the right color, the meat is full of moisture and flavor.
It is the best choice for breakfast or supper as a cold cut with horseradish or mustard or served hot: poached, baked or grilled. It can be cooked in soups such as bialy barszcz, kapusniak or grochówka, baked with sauerkraut or added to bean dishes, stews and casseroles. It is the most popular and universal sausage of all.
For best flavor and aroma please open vacuum pack the day before serving and allow sausage to slowly defrost and dry in the refrigerator.
