Kucharek Sour Soup (Zurek Slaski)
Carefully selected ingredients and excellent spices are the two most important characteristics of Kucharek’s Silesian soup. You will be delighted with the taste of our Żurek (West Slavic fermented cereal soup), which you can enjoy not only during the holiday season, but on any day of the year.
You can add a delicious, smoked sausage and a boiled egg to the soup and enjoy its delicate, sour taste with all your favourite additions.
Directions for preparation of Kucharek Sour Soup:
Step 1 - Pour the contents of the bag (40 g) into 750 ml of cold water and mix thoroughly.
Step 2 - Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring. You may add a bit of pepper, salt or a preferred seasoning as the soup simmers.
Step 3 - Pour the soup into a bowl over a halved boiled egg, some sauteed mushrooms, cooked potatoes and/or sausage.
