INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 tablespoons of butter (can be replaced with olive oil, clarified butter or coconut oil)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 4 GARLIC cloves (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
  • 1lb. of SMOKED POLISH SAUSAGE (sliced)
  • 1 head of Green Cabbage (hollowed & sliced
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • 1/4 cup parsley or dill
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional

STEP BY STEP PREPARATION:

  • Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry for about 4 minutes.
  • Add the chopped sausage and cook for another 4 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Add the rest of the butter, cabbage, paprika, salt and pepper. Stir to combine everything.
  • Continue frying until the cabbage is slightly tender, but not too long if you want it crispy. If you prefer soft, fry to the desired consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and crushed red pepper flakes before serving.
