Cracovia Black Forest Honey (Miod Spadziowy Iglasty)
This Black Forest honey, made upon the base of coniferous honeydew collected by bees from Polish forests, is of the most valuable honeys. The sweetness of honeydew attracts bees, who collect it from branches and transport it to the hive. There, it undergoes further fermentation and turns into the final product - honeydew honey.
Thanks to the fact that this honey is made from trees located in the cleanest forests, you can smell the resin and needles. Coniferous honeydew honey has a milder flavor. It has a characteristic color - dark with a greenish or gray tint and is from fir, spruce, pine or larch.
This type of honey is not quite as sweet as other varieties and occasionally it may have a slightly bitter aftertaste.
The consumption of coniferous honeydew honey is recommended as a health supporting substance - for people undergoing a period of health convalescence. In contrast to honeys of nectar origin, coniferous honeydew honey is characterized by a high content of priceless natural antibiotics.
Healthy and filled with nutrition this honey is great mixed into a hot cup of tea, but can be enjoyed over a piece of toast with butter or a rich cheese too!Â
